Cocoon: Community Wellbeing Outreach Project

Here at the Swansea Wellbeing Centre we recognise that the challenge of this lockdown will be overwhelming for many people. If you are feeling isolated, and vulnerable our new COCOON outreach programme is here to offer you support with your wellbeing.

COCOON CLASSES / SESSIONS

LUNCH BREAK RELAXATION AND MEDITATION

Wednesday at 12.15

Wherever you are, we hope you can take 30 mins to join us via Zoom in real time to create a sense of space and peace. 

These accessible easy practices need no previous experience create a moment to pause in your day.

Daily yoga classes. A class to suit your ability. Strong and invigorating or gentle and soothing.

ACCESSIBLE YOGA / CHAIR YOGA

Wednesday 2.30-3.30pm

This free class of joyful flowing moving meditation is accessible to all, including anyone with chronic conditions. The session begins seated in a chair, with some additional strengthening standing work and the option to sit in a chair or lie down for a relaxing guided meditation. Creating space, grace and ease in a profound and gentle way! Lucy’s intention is that you complete the session feeling physically freer and connected to your truest self.

WEEKLY WOMEN’S CIRCLE

Monday 8.30-9.30pm

Compassion, connection and a space to be heard. A warm welcome awaits you!

PREGNANCY YOGA WITH YOGABELLIES

Monday 7pm

Offers safe and gentle classes to nurture and nourish mind, body and baby during all stages of pregnancy. Build physical and mental resilience to prepare for birth. Suitable from 13 weeks+.
 

MALE MENTAL HEALTH WELLBEING SUPPORT GROUP

Friday 11am

This Friday morning men’s group offers a consistent open space for men of any age and background. A warm and friendly welcome is guaranteed from our two experienced group leaders, Dave and Phil. 
All are free to share helpful tips, information and experiences. Supportive, relaxed, no pressure group, just bring yourself!

A non-judgmental space via zoom weekly on Friday 12-1pm. Come together in a safe space to find support and build resilience and community.

Keeping stress down and immunity up. Helpful tips about natural first aid kit, immune boosting food, acupuncture points, reducing stress etc. An uplifting session that will leave you feeling positive and empowered.

BACK CARE CLASS for aching / tired / bad backs suffering in this time of COVID. This is a chance to learn from a professional, real steps to stop and reverse the damage causing the back pains you are now suffering or likely to suffer from extended isolation over the COVID period.

SOUND BATH

Gail is using the healing vibrational energy of singing bowls, gongs and other instruments including voice - you will be taken on a deeply spiritual experiential journey.

SANSKRIT CHANTING FOR PEACE - THE PRAYER OF SRI RUDRAM

This profound 3500 years old Sanskrit prayer offers peace, healing, protection. Come and relax and be bathed in this ancient sound.

PILATES GROUP CLASS OR ONE TO ONE SESSION

Monday 10am  or by appointment 

A beginner's Pilates class with a range of stretching and strengthening exercises for about an hour and a 10 min relaxing meditation session at the end.
