Saturday 16th November
10am-6pm
This workshop is for anyone who would like a warmer, more friendly connection with their body, with their physical form.
Most people have some negative feelings, niggles, or dissatisfactions about some aspect of their bodies. Most have felt dissatisfied with, let down by, or sad about their physical form at some time, focussing on some part being too big, too small, too fat, not strong enough, wrong shape, and so on.
Whilst our relationship with our bodies is very much on the agenda in the media, the outcome of this focus seems to be an increasing alienation from our bodies, a loss of connection and a failure to inhabit our bodies fully. Much of this is fuelled by consumerism and advertising. Traditionally, women have been the main targets for this, but now men are equally encouraged to worry about their looks, their performance, and their health.
Reminding us that our bodies are our homes for our souls, this workshop invites you to explore how at home you are in your body. How do you feel about your body? Do you love your body? Is there shame? How much joy do you take in your physical form?
We will be using the lens of Systemic Constellations to explore your relationship with your body. This approach offers an opportunity to engage with your body in a whole new way, inviting conversation, new insights, understanding, compassion, and a deeper connection with your body.
Many participants leave with a new respect and awe for their body. Some report feeling a new tenderness and a deeper appreciation.
