We are meeting on zoom in April.
Alina Ascari and Dr Noel Thomas, G.P, continue, after six years, to provide, now with British Homeopathic Association funding, a free weekly homeopathic clinic for asylum seekers, and refugees and vulnerable people. They have wide experience in Wales, in the N.H.S, and abroad, particularly with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The holistic nature of homeopathy means each person is treated as a unique individual and their body, mind, spirit and emotions are all considered in the management and prevention of disease. Taking all these factors into account a homeopath will select the most appropriate medicine based on the individual’s specific symptoms and personal level of health to stimulate their own healing ability.
Mindfulness is about learning to direct our attention to our experience as it unfolds, moment by moment, with open-minded curiosity, kindness and acceptance, instead of worrying about what has happened or might happen. It trains us to explore and respond skilfully to whatever is happening right now. Research studies show that mindfulness practice alters the structure and function of the brain. These changes have been linked to improved concentration, mood regulation and immune function, helping with relationships, communication, drive and ultimately an improved sense of wellbeing and happiness. Over this 6 week course you will learn how mindfulness can help you recognise when you become entangled in streams of self-criticism, worries and negative thinking and learn tools to interrupt this process and make wise choices. You will learn how to respond rather than react, and figure out how you can best take care of yourself when feeling anxious, low or stressed. Mindfulness practices allow us to appreciate the joyful moments while learning to navigate and survive the tricky ones. These new skills will help cultivate warmth and compassion towards yourself and others, enabling you to find balance in your life and opening you up to happiness and contentment and a place where you can flourish.
This 6 week course will start in 15th May in The Swansea Well-Being Centre. On Thursdays 6pm-7.30pm £180 there will also be a retreat day following the course. £30
We are delighted to welcome Gail to the centre for individual Sound Healing sessions on a Monday afternoon.
You will experience a unique journey where Gail's healing soundwork will soothe your soul and bring harmony to your mind.
The latest research on sound healing shows it can benefit us at a cellular level and Gails deeply intuitive way of working will support you at these challenging times. By donation.
Gail is a facilitator for therapeutic dance called Biodanza. It is a group experience of movement, expression, self exploration, and connection to stimulate our natural potentials creativity, vitality and affectionate connection with ourselves and others.
The music is great! No steps to learn and much fun as well as a deep connection to self.
The sessions are free but donations are welcome for the Swansea Welbeing Centre for their support for the vulnerable and in crisis and all the wonderful classes that are normally available to us.
This Friday morning men’s group offers a consistent open space for men of any age and background. A warm and friendly welcome is guaranteed from our two experienced group leaders, Dave and Phil.
