Baby & Me is a social support group from bump to one! Most weeks we offer different taster sessions from local baby classes, workshops and activities. The Centre provides a calm environment perfect for getting to know other expectant and new parents and accessing any pregnancy, feeding or postnatal support you need.

Writing for Wellbeing

Writing is good for you! A developing body of research shows that expressive writing helps calm the mind and emotions, and increases feelings of happiness and wellbeing. People who have done Writing for Wellbeing say it sparks their imagination and helps them release both personal and creative limitations.

Pilates

Join in for a fun Pilates class, a great way to stay fit and make new friends! Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. Pilates also focuses on posture, balance and flexibility. 
Pilates helps to complement other forms of exercise as it minimises the risk of injuries. Pilates also focuses on the mind-body connection. 
While doing the various exercises your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves. This also helps to promote relaxation and a sense of wellbeing. £6

Discover Feldenkrais®

The Feldenkrais Method offers a gentle and pleasurable way to improve mobility, flexibility, comfort and ease. Improving your quality of movement and increasing self-awareness can bring dramatic and easy relief from pain.

The classes consist of slow guided movement sequences, in a safe and supportive environment, and are suitable for anybody who can lie on the floor. You don't need to have any previous experience, or to be fit or flexible. Each person works to their own level of ability, however limited that may be initially. The classes are particularly suited for people with visually impairments as Philippa guides the class verbally. Cost £7 per class, £36 for a block booking of 6 weeks.

Riding the Wave

This course is an introduction to the Samanga Form, a sensitive and powerful sequence that integrates energetic gestures, yoga postures and breathing techniques. In awakening the spinal wave, we access a deep well of energy that increases vitality, resilience and adaptability. The form supports mental and nervous stability, mindfully explores all spinal movements and regulates the breathing rhythm. It is a Yin-Yang form with both energising and pacifying qualities.

Jnana Meditation - Practice of Wisdom and Compassion

In the session Anna will guide this healing meditation which, with its ancient roots in yoga, will enable you to let go of thoughts and realise a constant presence of peace that underlies everything. Sanskrit Chanting for Peace - The Prayer of Sri Rudram

Performed daily in temples across India, Sri Rudram is a profound 3500-year-old hymn from the sacred Vedas. Hearing it invokes peace, protection, well-being and the removal of obstacles. Chanted for people, communities, places and the world. It is a time where you can come and receive this Sanskrit prayer, relax and enjoy it's ancient sounds and if you wish, hold closely any intention or prayer for yourself and / or for anyone or situation that needs healing.

Baby and child first aid classes are suitable for anyone who cares for children. The sessions are informal and friendly. Babies under 1 are welcome to join the class. There will be no tests, role plays or scary stories. 2 hour classes £25 pp £45 per couple

Children can learn first aid too! Daisy First Aid believes that first aid is a life skill and that children as young as 5 can learn basic first aid skills.
