Volunteering

at the Swansea Wellbeing Centre CIC

Hello 😊 Thank you for your interest in a volunteering role with us at the Swansea Wellbeing Centre. Welcome!

Please take a moment to read the role description for the Meet & Greet Volunteer role, which explains the importance of volunteers at the Centre, the type of tasks we hope you will be able to help with, and some of the benefits to you. It’s always helpful to go through these together to answer any questions that you may have.

It has been incredible to be part of such a fantastic and unique community. The Centre is a leading light in the Wellbeing industry and It will leave you with a wealth of skills, training and knowledge if you are interested in a career in the sector. As a volunteer, you are the face of the centre and front of House so it is a very exciting role! The rewards far outweigh the Time spent volunteering. It is a wonderful feeling to sign post someone to the right place, and make a difference to their life.

Being a volunteer at the wellbeing centre is like being part of an extended family. It has allowed me to use my skills, knowledge and contacts to help people and guide them to get the best out of the center.  Everyone is friendly and helpful.  It is very satisfying being a volunteer at the center as it has a calming atmosphere.

Centre gives me sense of wellbeing and  belonging. I feel like a part of the small family, especially after loosing my mum. Dealing with practitioners and people I feel I am wanted and helping them feels that I am returning them back. I can access all different classes and support at the centre.

Helen

One of my favourite experiences ever! Gained so many skills and friends. Wish I had the time to do it again, maybe one day!
