An afternoon of gentle making inspired by the season… where gathered plants, botanical printing and hand-binding come together in a beautifully slow creative workshop.
Together, we’ll spend three hours crafting our own hand-bound botanical books using foraged foliage, natural textures and simple bookbinding techniques. This is an invitation to slow down, create with intention, and connect with the quiet magic of the natural world.
We begin with a gentle introduction to seasonal gathering and noticing the small wild details of summer. Along the way to the workshop, you’re warmly invited to collect any leaves, grasses, flowers or botanical treasures that call to you. Seasonal leaves and flowers will also be provided on the table for everyone to work with and explore.
Throughout the afternoon, we’ll experiment with botanical printing onto paper, creating layered impressions from gathered plants and natural forms. You’ll then be guided through the process of binding your own journal by hand, stitching and assembling your pages into a finished keepsake book.
Each journal will be finished with your own naturally dyed ribbon ties and a handwritten title page, with space to add small notes, intentions or seasonal reflections inside.
There will be herbal tea, relaxed conversation and open creative time throughout the afternoon.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own completed botanical journal… a handmade archive of summer to treasure.
No previous experience needed. All materials provided.
